Blackstone Memorial Day 2025: Parade, Ceremony, Fireworks & Community Celebration
Blackstone residents are invited to come together this Sunday, May 25, 2025, for a full day of patriotic celebration, remembrance, and community fun. The annual Blackstone Memorial Day Celebration is organized by the Memorial Day Committee—Tanya Polak, Dan Keefe, and Brad Weissman—who are committed to honoring the meaning of Memorial Day through tradition and community spirit.
A Parade Honoring Our Heroes
The Memorial Day Parade kicks off at 1:00 PM at the Town Common following a brief opening ceremony.
The parade is devoted to:
- Honoring the service and sacrifice of those who served
- Promoting patriotism and community unity
- Reminding residents of the true meaning of Memorial Day
Remembrance Ceremony at the Municipal Center
Immediately after the parade, join the community at 2:00 PM in front of the Municipal Center for a Remembrance Ceremony to pay tribute to fallen service members and veterans.
Community Celebration at Roosevelt Park
At 2:30 PM, the celebration continues at Roosevelt Park with food trucks, vendors, live music, and activities for all ages. Lots of carnival rides and inflatables for the kids, or you can hang out at our new, inclusive and accessible Park too! To ensure the event is inclusive for all families, a sensory-friendly hour begins at 4:00 PM.

🎆 Fireworks will cap off the evening at dusk, offering a spectacular end to a meaningful day.
🎡 Carnival Rides & Games
You can purchase digital credits onsite to enjoy rides, games, and food from Cushing Amusements.
- 💳 1 credit = $1
- 🎟️ Rides: 4–6 credits | Games: 4–10 credits
- 🍿 Credits also work at Cushing Amusements food stands
- 🔄 $2 transaction fee on your first credit purchase
- Cash, credit/debit, and Apple/Google pay are also accepted at the games and food.
- All sales are final, no refunds including weather closures.
Parade Route & Parking Information
Road Closures:
- Butler and County Streets close at 11:00 AM
- Main Street and St. Paul Street close by 12:45 PM
- No parking on Main Street along the parade route
Parking at Roosevelt Park is limited, but there are plenty of ways to get there!
- Street parking is available along Main Street, Canal Street, Bridge Street, and most nearby side streets.
- The Dean Bank/former Park N Shop lot on Main Street is a short walk from the park.
- No parking is allowed on Main Street along the parade route.
