This weekend, Frederick W. Hartnett Middle School (FWHMS) sixth-grade musicians earned top honors and performed at the Gold Showcase at Groton Hill Music Center, showcasing the strength of the Blackstone-Millville Regional School District’s (BMRSD) music program.

The Groton Hill Music Center is renowned for its commitment to music education and performance, providing students with opportunities to develop their talents in a supportive environment. Participation in events at this esteemed venue reflects the students’ dedication and the quality of instruction they receive.
BMRSD’s commitment to music education is evident through its comprehensive programs that foster skills such as dedication, responsibility, and cooperation. These programs provide a nurturing environment for students to develop their musical talents and achieve excellence.
This recent achievement adds to a series of accolades for BMRSD’s music department, including the gold and silver achievements at the Massachusetts Instrumental & Choral Conductors Association (MICCA) festival, which lead to being invited to participate at the Gold Showcase.
