Blackstone Hosts First-Ever Snapology Camp: Robotics & STEAM Activities for Kids

Blackstone Parks & Recreation is bringing something exciting to town this summer—and it’s something families asked for! After gathering community feedback in a recent survey, the Blackstone Parks & Recreation is thrilled to announce the arrival of Snapology, a nationally recognized program that combines fun, hands-on learning with STEM and robotics. This summer marks the first time Snapology will be offered in Blackstone, and it’s all happening at Roosevelt Park from July 28 to August 1.
What Is Snapology?
Snapology is an interactive program that uses LEGO® bricks, robotics kits, and creative play to teach science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) concepts in a way kids love. Designed for children of all skill levels, Snapology camps offer engaging activities that build critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.



Blackstone Parks & Recreation worked with Snapology in offering three registration options for summer:
Robotics Extravaganza
Morning Session
Morning Session: 8:45 AM – 11:45 AM
Kids will dive into robotics with a mash-up of Snapology’s most popular builds—Creature Creator, Gamebots, Space Wars, and Mega Machines.
Each day includes two new builds that children will get to design, program, and bring to life!
Grades 1 – 4
STEAM Extravaganza
Afternoon Session
Afternoon Session: 12:45 PM – 3:45 PM
The afternoon focuses on hands-on STEAM projects from Snapology’s beloved programs like Brick City, Minecraft, Pokemania, and Grumpy Birds.
Students will design, build, and complete two activities per day while developing teamwork and design skills.
Grades 1 – 4
Robotics and STEAM
Full Day
Full day with the Robotics Morning Session (8:45 AM – 11:45 AM), 1 hour lunch/free play (11:45 AM – 12:45 PM), STEAM Afternoon Session (12:45 PM – 3:45 PM)
Students will be supervised by a Snapologist during lunch and recess (11:45 AM – 12:45 PM)

Location & Weather
Camp will take place outdoors at Roosevelt Park in Blackstone, with accommodations provided in case of inclement weather to ensure a safe and fun experience for all.
