Firefighter Cory Denault Graduation: Local Firefighter Completes State Training Program
The fire service community is celebrating the Firefighter Cory Denault graduation from the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy’s Call/Volunteer Recruit Training Program. The program—known for its rigorous schedule and high standards—prepares call and volunteer firefighters across the state to respond effectively to emergencies while balancing their careers, families, and daily responsibilities.
A Major Milestone in the Firefighter Cory Denault Graduation
Firefighter Cory Denault was one of 23 recruits from across Massachusetts to complete Class #121, a 240-hour training program specifically designed for call and volunteer firefighters. Held on nights and weekends, this academy schedule ensures that those who serve part-time can still achieve full professional certification.
With the successful graduation, Firefighter Cory Denault formally earned his Firefighter I/II Pro Board Certification, meeting national requirements under the NFPA 1001 Standard for Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications.
Training Behind the Firefighter Cory Denault Graduation
The Massachusetts Firefighting Academy provides hands-on, real-world training led by certified instructors. During Class #121, Denault completed intensive coursework and hands-on drills including:
- Fire behavior and suppression tactics
- Hazardous materials awareness and mitigation
- Rescue operations
- Public fire safety education
- Physical conditioning
- Live-fire evolutions in controlled environments

The Road to the Firefighter Cory Denault Graduation
Denault, 37, was born in Fall River and graduated from Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School in 2007. He later studied Culinary Arts at Bristol Community College before moving into emergency response work.
In 2024, Denault earned his National EMT certification through the National Medical Education & Training Center (NMETC) in Bridgewater, further strengthening his ability to serve the community.

“Firefighter Denault put in countless hours of hands-on and classroom training to prepare for the wide range of emergencies our members respond to every day. We’re thrilled to officially welcome him as a fully certified firefighter.”
