Wicked Good Gluten Free Batter: A Millville Bakery Creating Safe, Delicious Treats with Heart
For anyone living with Celiac or avoiding gluten, finding baked goods that are both safe and satisfying can feel nearly impossible. But thanks to one local mother-daughter team in Millville, you don’t have to choose between health and flavor anymore. Wicked Good Gluten Free Batter is a bakery built on trust, family, and a whole lot of flavor—from soft, cinnamon-laced rolls to blueberry muffins that taste just like the real thing (because they are).
Whether you’re Celiac, gluten-sensitive, or just love a good cupcake, this local gem is proving that gluten-free doesn’t mean giving up the joy of baked goods—it just means finding the right baker.
A Safe Space for Gluten-Free Goodness
The bakery is led by Victoria Barrett-Spulecki and her mother, Claudette Barrett, out of their family’s farm property in Millville, MA. Victoria was diagnosed with Celiac about 10 years ago, and her husband nearly two decades ago.

At the time, gluten-free products were limited and often disappointing. Victoria shared, “I remember craving a blueberry muffin and paying what felt like a lot for one that ended up in the trash.” This frustration led her to begin experimenting with recipes and flour blends to create better gluten-free baked goods—starting with muffins and eventually expanding to cookies, breads, and her now-famous cinnamon rolls.
Wicked Good Gluten Free Batter began in November 2023 as a residential kitchen operating under a cottage food permit—baking from home with the support of family and a growing circle of loyal customers. By May 2025, the bakery earned its wholesale license, allowing Wicked Good Gluten Free Batter to expand beyond the stand. Their gluten-free cookies are now available at Douglas Orchard & Farm in Douglas, MA, with more wholesale opportunities on the horizon.
Today, every item from Wicked Good Gluten Free Batter is baked in a completely gluten-free kitchen, with no gluten products allowed to avoid cross-contamination. Products are also artificial dye-free, making them an even safer option for families with additional sensitivities.

From the Oven to the Stand
The Wicked Good stand is located right in front of the Barrett family’s farm home in Millville, where Victoria grew up. Built by her parents nearly 40 years ago, the property has become a full family hub—home to chickens, horses, a dog, flower beds, and gardens in progress.

The stand is open every Saturday from 8 A.M. to 2 P.M., or until sold out. Cinnamon rolls typically sell out by 11, so pre-orders are strongly encouraged. Orders can be held with pre-payment—just text or call by Thursday to reserve your spot.
You may also find handmade crocheted gifts (made by Victoria herself), fresh-cut flowers in season, farm-fresh eggs, local honey from Uxbridge, and—come fall—fresh local pumpkins.
A Ride Through the Neighborhood
In a special twist, the Barrett family also offers horse-drawn carriage rides by appointment—a tradition that started with Victoria’s father, Roland Barrett Sr.
Weekend rides around the farm’s neighborhood are available for $75 for up to 8 people for 45 to 60 minutes, with longer or custom rides available for weddings, parties, and events. Rides include two horses, a wagon, and a whole lot of old-fashioned charm. Details and booking info can be found on the Barrett’s Horse Drawn Facebook page.

A Personal Mission with Community at Its Core
For Victoria, this isn’t just a bakery. It’s a mission born from personal experience—and fueled by love.
She explained that gluten products are not allowed in the kitchen to avoid even the smallest risk of cross-contamination. “It’s an unsettling feeling when you eat somewhere you think is safe, and then you get sick for days. I would never want that to happen to one of our customers.”
This care and attention has made Wicked Good Gluten Free Batter a trusted source for many in the community.
Victoria shared, “My favorite thing this past year has been seeing the joy in someone’s eyes when they can feel comfortable buying a treat made in a truly gluten-free kitchen. And when they come back—week after week—even just for one cookie or cinnamon roll, that means everything.”

A Local Bakery You Can Trust
For people living with Celiac or avoiding gluten, food is more than just what’s on the plate—it’s often a source of stress, second-guessing, and settling for “good enough.” But in a small town like Millville, it’s comforting to know there’s someone right up the road who truly understands what safe, delicious gluten-free baking should be.
Wicked Good Gluten Free Batter isn’t just a bakery—it’s a reflection of what makes small towns special: families working together, neighbors supporting one another, and local traditions rooted in care. Every muffin, cinnamon roll, and cookie is made with that spirit—and with the understanding that food should never feel like a risk.
And that’s something worth celebrating. Because when you find a local baker who takes that extra care, it’s not just about food anymore—it’s about finally feeling at ease. And maybe even a little more at home.
