St. Paul pastor Father O’ Mara passes away

UPDATED with Funeral Arrangements

We received the news today that Rev. D. Timothy O’ Mara of St. Paul Parish has passed away.

Dear Parishioners,

It is with a heavy heart that we share the sad news with you that Father O’Mara has passed away.

This has come as a shock to us all at St. Paul Parish. There are many details to be worked out and we will keep you informed once they are made.

Most important right now is to keep Father in our prayers along with his family and the entire parish as we mourn his loss. Father O’Mara fought to never cancel Masses even in bad weather, so in the interim, we have coverage for this weekend’s Masses and Masses through Easter. We invite you to join us in prayer this weekend, if you are comfortable doing so.

All fundraising events, our Fish Fry, our Thrift Shop, our Project Dinner and whatever other fundraisers are in place MUST continue in Father’s memory. His wish was to raise the funds for the window repair and restoration project, which is now underway. Father was a fighting Irishman and never believed in canceling. We must continue the fight for him.

Let us pray that St. Paul join with the angels and saints in greeting our pastor into God’s heavenly kingdom and that he guide us in these days and weeks ahead.
