Blackstone’s Town Clerk, Tara Sullivan, has announced that nominations papers for the April 5, 2021, Annual Town Election will become available from the Town Clerk’s Office on Thursday, January 14, 2021.

There are 13 available positions.
Board of Assessors: 3-year term, one member
BMR District School Committee:
- 4-year term (Blackstone Representative), one member
- 4-year term (Millville Representative), one member
- Fill an Unexpired 4-year term (Blackstone Representative) to expire Annual Town Election 2022, one member
- Fill an Unexpired 4-year term (Blackstone Representative) to expire Annual Town Election 2024, one member
Board of Health: 3-year term, one member
Moderator to fill an Unexpired 3-year term to expire Annual Town Election 2023
Parks & Recreation Commission:
- 3-year terms, two members
- Fill an Unexpired 3-year term to expire Annual Town Election 2023, one member
Planning Board: 5-year term, one member
Board of Selectman:
- 3-year term, one member
- Unexpired 3-year term to expire Annual Town Election 2022, one member*
Candidates for town offices must obtain signatures from at least 36 registered Blackstone voters, and candidates for the Blackstone-Millville Regional District School Committee must obtain at least 35 signatures from either town or a combination of both. In addition, Regional School District candidates must file a notarized statement of candidacy with the Town Clerk’s Office from the town in which they reside. Signed and completed nomination papers must be returned to the Town Clerk’s Office no later than 5PM on February 12, 2021.

Regional candidates must file Statement of Candidacy with the Town Clerk’s Office from their town, and this statement must be notarized. Please remember that all nomination papers, including School Committee nominations, must be turned into the Town Clerk’s Office by 5PM on Friday, February 12.

The Town Hall is still closed to the public due to COVID-19. To obtain file nominations, please call the Town Clerk’s Office to make an appointment to do so.
