If you signed up using Rave or Smart 911, please note that the Fire Department is no longer using this. The Blackstone Fire Department has announced that they’ve changed to a new notification system to send out emergency notifications via phone calls, text messages and e-mails. Many of the phone numbers and contacts from the old system are intact but if you have not gotten any notifications recently please sign up below.
Once you create an account, you can select alert types. Emergency notifications are set as a default, but you can also select “General Notifications” to receive non-emergency information, possibly – notices for city council meetings, board meetings, and other community events. Just add your phone number or email and you’ll receive notifications in the future.
Disclaimer: We have not yet gotten any notifications yet.
CodeRED also has a mobile app – the free CodeRED Mobile Alert app allows you to stay informed of community, emergency and severe weather alerts directly on your mobile device. The app is geo-aware, meaning that you will only receive alerts that impact your specific location. This means, if you’re not in Blackstone, MA you’ll get alerts related to your current location.
